Jack Duncan Rhodes Foundation

About Us

About Us

The inspiration behind the Jack Duncan Rhodes Foundation came into reality in 2012 after the death of Jack Duncan Rhodes whom the foundation was named after. Our mission is to support individuals and organizations that provide mental health services to individuals that want it and no cost.

Through our fund raising activities we support a variety of organizations and individuals.  We donate to other non profit organizations that provide free counseling services.  We award scholarships to students pursuing a degree in the mental health field.  We award scholarships to individuals that want to enter a mental health and/or addiction rehabilitation center that do not have the insurance or the funds to pay for it.  We pay for private counseling services for individuals who want help but do not have insurance or the funds to pay for it.   Being a non-profit foundation, we depend on funds and resources from the public to support our endeavor. There is so much more we aim at achieving, and with your help we can continue to provide services and promote awareness around mental health issues.

Yes, Douglas Rhodes also speaks at events to further spread the message of mental health awareness and the stigma around asking for help.

Why JDR Foundation?

Contemporary society has created an increase in mental health issues and the stigma in asking help.   Whether it’s life altering events or every day pressures that cause mental and emotional instability, our Foundation strives to let individuals know that it is ok to ask for help and when they decide to get help, there are services available to them.  We support those organizations and individuals that provide the necessary services.  We cannot do it without your help.  By donating to our foundation your generous gift will go towards organizations and individuals that provide services at no cost for those in need.
